Take Action

While the School Administrators Alliance (SAA) provides a unified voice for all Wisconsin school administrators before state government, advocacy need not and must not stop there. WCASS encourages all of its members to become involved in local, regional, state and national issues impacting the quality of support services for students with special needs. To identify your federal and state legislators, visit the links below.

Federal Legislative Contacts

This online link, sponsored by the Council for Exceptional Children, is an outstanding resource both for identifying pending legislative votes of interest to the special education community, and for researching the past votes of your elected officials on key bills. In addition to this information, the site provides issue oriented talking points and easy to use email links so that you can directly communicate with your legislators.

State Legislative Contacts

This link to the Wisconsin State Legislature website includes an option to look up your state and federal representatives, a searchable database of bills and amendments, statutes and other legislative documents, and also offers a notification service that will email you when there is legislative activity on proposals, committees, and subjects in which you've indicated an interest.
